Pictured: Lewistown Southeast project, Lewistown, Montana. The work consisted of 5 miles of roadway reconstruction. Major items included 125,000 cubic yards of excavation, 40,000 cubic yards of special borrow, 22,000 cubic yards of cement treated base, 4,000 cubic yards of base course, 20,000 tons of asphalt plant mix, 1,500 square yards of MSE wall, 450 square yards of soil nail wall, 4,400 square feet of sheet pile wall, and installation of 2 reinforced soil slopes. Completed 2016.

The Role

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Job Superintendent you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and operating a dozer. You will prepare the site for material excavation; create berms, ramps, and roadways. You will prevent aggregate contamination, prepare level areas for equipment placement; push up material, sand, and aggregate piles. You will need the skill to finish 2:1 slopes.

Your Role Today, Tomorrow and into the Future
You'll begin in Corvallis. This is a multi-year contract, so you could also continue there in 2018. The crew has approximately 14 members, including yourself. We also have nearby projects in Hillsboro and McMinnville, Oregon which you could work on later.  Quick question for you - click here

Projects vary in size and complexity, but typically last six months to several years. Most of our work is won via bids, but with a strong reputation and a robust pipeline, there is plenty of work ahead. You can plan on working year after year if you choose. You'll find tight-knit teams with many members that return each year.

Our Dozer Fleet Equipment
We maintain a significant fleet of owned and leased equipment including dozers from D6Ns to D11Rs. All are closed cab and we have late model equipment with the latest GPS.

Where You'll Stay
Depending upon the project, we may lease land nearby and create a DeAtleyville -- a place where we will place our utility trailer to provide water and electricity to the crew for parking their campers or setup tents where they will live during their downtime. Some crew members choose to stay in motels/hotels. In some cases where a DeAtleyville location is not available, employees may be supplemented with a lodging allowance (project dependent). A lodging allowance will be provided for the Corvallis project if you do not live within commuting distance. Should you be able to commute, but live more than 30 miles away, a fuel allowance will be provided.
